What was your favorite candy when you were a kid? How does that compare to now?

I'm a candy whore. Always have been, and I can't see things changing anytime soon.

The majority of my caloric intake as a child most definitely came in sugar formation. I rarely met a candy I didn't like, with the exception of Boston Baked Beans (I don't get them.) But I'd have to say my favorites as a kid were Lemonheads and the other members of the Ferrara Pan family. The company has relabeled the Friends of Lemonheads flavors with boring, straightforward names, which totally sucks. Ferrara Pan, don't  think for one minute that "Applehead" is a better moniker than "Johnny Apple Treats" was. And don't you try to pretend either that you did not produce nefariously illustrated boxes of "Cherry Clan".

Nowadays, I enjoy quality over quantity, and I mostly enjoy chocolate. I consider chocolate a hobby of mine; I like to explore the unique offerings different chocolatiers come up with, like single origin bars, or interesting flavor combinations. The last good bar I tried: Dagoba Lavender.
